I know that 2010 has been a very hard year for almost everyone in our country! Too many people have lost their jobs and homes and the economy has continued to cause problems. I continue to hear stories on the news that make me want to cry for the hardships that seem to be everywhere. Even though these hardships and negative economy issues are still tops news stories, I have to believe that better days are ahead. I choose to have faith in us... the people of this country.
My strength comes from my faith in God and the belief that my fellow Americans will come together to turn this country around. I believe that we all must make real efforts to stay strong, work hard and never ever give up. This faith and these beliefs are the reason for my working so diligently over the last couple of months making some amazing plans for 2011.
I have talked with many many hotels and event centers trying to set up scrapbook crops and retreats in some really great locations for the upcoming year. I have been successful with many of those locations. The way I see it,.... we have to work very hard to turn our country around so we need to work equally as hard keeping ourselves entertained doing things that we enjoy such as our scrappin' and paper crafting habits. I hope you'll look over my list of events that are planned for 2011 and try to work it in your schedule to make some time for your habit of scrappin' and having a little fun with some old and new friends. It's a known fact that laughter with friends is the best medicine for whatever ails you....
The 2011 event schedule:
February 19, 2011 - Country Inns & Suites - Morrisville NC (day crop)
March 18, 19 & 20, 2011 - Holiday Inn - Statesville NC (weekend retreat)
May 20, 21 & 22, 2011 - Holiday Inn Express - Wilkesboro NC (weekend retreat)
June 17, 18 & 19, 2011 - City Hotel & Bistro - Greenville NC (weekend retreat)
August 19, 20 & 21, 2011 - Blue Ridge Assembly - Black Mountain NC (weekend retreat)
The details for each of these events can be found on my website. You can even take advantage of the $25 discount on each of the full weekend events by registering before the end of 2010.
I will continue to work hard to ensure that our lives individually and as a nation of friends and families is restored to a better way of life. I will also continue to work hard to make sure that we have time for friends and families and the hobbies that we love. I hope to meet you in the upcoming year and have some "fun" scrappin' & yappin' together.
Your scrappin' friend always,
Mona Chiusano
